Collection Catalog

Some of the products selected from the Village Handicrafts Collection of Ankara University Faculty of Fine Arts were cataloged and published by Ankara University Press. Catalog studies of the products Assoc. Dr. Ceren Karadeniz and Project coordinator Assoc. Dr. It was conducted by Ayşem Yanar. The online version of the created catalog has been published on the website of the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, Faculty of Fine Arts, Ankara University. Dating back to the 1930s, YZE's current formation has been realized not only with academic knowledge and equipment, but also with the intergenerational transfer of ethnographic works. 44 of these ethnographic artifacts collected from different regions of Turkey are woven and knitted and have YZE plates on them. (These are classified as artifacts with YZE plates within the scope of the project). 116 of the ethnographic artifacts belong to the YZE period, but there are no plates on them (they are classified as group A artifacts in the collection). Apart from these artifacts, there are 118 Black Sea Region weavings that are not related to YZE (These are classified as group B artifacts in the collection).
